BACKGROUND:
The claim is a result of a motor vehicle accident on November 14, 2024, whereby both drivers were driving north on Las Vegas Blvd, traffic slowed at the intersection with Siren's Cove due to the F1 road constructions. The County driver changed lanes and struck the left rear of the claimant's vehicle. The total medical treatment was at $37,028.00 not including estimated costs for potential future medical billsThrough negotiations with legal counsel for the claimant, the claimant has agreed to accept $75,000.00 in settlement of the bodily injury claim to avoid any further costs and legal expenses of possible litigation in this case. If the settlement is approved, the County would also avoid costs and expenses of any future litigation.The proposed settlement has been reviewed and approved by the Civil Division of the District Attorney’s Office and the Clark County Liability Pool Committee members.
