Additional Comments: |
This Facilities Relocation Agreement is associated with the Design Cost Agreement (in the amount of $325,166) executed between the County and NV Energy in August 2021. |
BACKGROUND:
On August 31, 2021, under Clark County Fiscal Directive No. 6, the County, through its Public Works Department, entered into a Design Cost Agreement with Nevada Power Company d/b/a NV Energy, for the Hollywood Boulevard Extension - Vegas Valley Drive to Galleria Drive project (Clark County Public Works Project No. BW21520) for design and engineering associated with the relocation of distribution and transmission infrastructure in conflict with proposed roadway alignment along Wiesner Way from Galleria Drive to south of Russell Road.
The attached Facilities Relocation Agreement No. 21-00009 allows for completion of the engineering, survey, procurement, and construction for the relocation of NV Energy distribution and transmission infrastructure to accommodate the County's Hollywood Boulevard Extension Phase 1 - Galleria Drive to Wetlands Park project and the Hollywood Boulevard Extension - Vegas Valley Drive to Galleria Drive project. This agreement sets forth the terms and conditions for NV Energy and the County with respect to the relocation of distribution and transmission infrastructure. The initial estimate is $4,442,258, with a not-to-exceed amount of $5,774,936.
NV Energy has a prior right; therefore, it is not subject to the franchise agreement.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the Facilities Relocation Agreement as to form.
