BACKGROUND:
On October 7, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 607570-25 for Vegas Valley Drive Improvements - Lamb Boulevard to Las Vegas Wash to Las Vegas Paving Corporation (NBE) in the amount of $8,670,000 for signal modifications along Vegas Valley Drive at the intersections of Lamb Boulevard, Parkdale Avenue, Mountain Vista Street, Nellis Boulevard, and Cabana Drive. Work performed also includes a pedestrian flasher system, streetlight pole installation, streetlight wire theft replacement, ITS conduit and pullbox installation, pavement mill and overlay, full depth pavement replacement, utility manhole adjustments, concrete flatwork replacement, sidewalk panel patching, tack-on median installation, drop inlet top replacements, striping and signage.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 200 calendar days from the date specified after the receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
• Included the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience language as in all public works efforts of this type.
Approval of Change Order No. 1 will provide for Revision #2 and Revision #3. Revision #2 scope of work includes 1" Overlay full depth replacement of plantmix bituminous surface and UTACS. Revision #3 scope of work includes pavement rehabilitation, utility adjustments, median island installation, sidewalk ramp installation, signage, and striping along Vegas Valley Dr. east of Hollywood Boulevard. The attached Change Order No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.
Las Vegas Paving Corporation currently holds a Clark County Business License.
