BACKGROUND:
Bid No. 607074-24, for Tropicana and University Center Drainage Improvements Phase 2 (Van Buskirk - Paradise Detention Basin) was advertised on October 17, 2024 and opened on February 19, 2025. The Bid amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for construction of a detention basin and related appurtenances located between Paradise Road and University Center Drive and associated inflow and outflow storm drain facilities. The improvements will generally consist of site clearing, scarification, removal and disposal of asphalt, aggregate base, curb, gutter, median, sidewalk, block walls, fencing, gates, removal of sanitary sewer pipe, removal and disposal of structures and obstructions, excavation and embankment to proposed grade elevations, access road, reinforced concrete box culverts, storm drain pipes, drop inlets, manholes, inflow structures, outlet structure, concrete spillway structure, monitoring station building, riprap, waterline and components, dry utility relocations, reroute sanitary sewer lines, reroute waterlines, pavement replacement, signing, striping and other necessary appurtenances required to make a good, complete and serviceable Project.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 270 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
• Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience language as in all public works efforts of this type.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Las Vegas Paving Corporation currently holds a Clark County Business License.
