BACKGROUND:

On August 6, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners (“BOCC”) and the Board of Fire Commissioners (“BOFC”) approved an interlocal agreement between Moapa Valley Fire Protection District and Clark County for the provision of administrative services. On July 1, 2025, the BOCC and BOFC directed staff to amend the interlocal agreement to delegate operational oversight and responsibility for the District to the Clark County Fire Chief.

The Amended and Restated Interlocal Agreement establishes the terms under which the County will provide ongoing administrative support, operational oversight, and control of fire suppression and emergency medical services within the District.
