BACKGROUND: 

Commissioner Kirkpatrick has requested an agenda item to recognize and present a proclamation to recognize May 3-9, 2026, as National Corrections Officer Week and grant a proclamation to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Detention Services Division, to honor the work of the dedicated men and women working in our jail facilities (Clark County Detention Center, North Valley Complex, and the Tucker Holding Facility).
