BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Traffic Signal Improvements Package 208: Jones Boulevard at Silverado Ranch Boulevard, and Hollywood Boulevard at Vegas Valley Drive project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Fund for Fiscal Year 2024.

Interlocal Contract No. 3167 provides funds for construction of a traffic signal system at Jones Boulevard and Silverado Ranch Boulevard, and at Hollywood Boulevard and Vegas Valley Drive, one-inch pavement mill and overlay, installation of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) infrastructure, retaining walls, permanent signing and pavement markings, and removal and salvage of streetlight poles. The design of the Jones Boulevard and Silverado Ranch Boulevard Improvements was funded by Clark County, and the design of the Hollywood Boulevard and Vegas Valley Drive improvements was funded by RTC. All necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained and Clark County is ready to advertise the project for construction.  The time of performance is effective until December 31, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on June 13, 2024.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
