The initial Contract amount was $1,534,160.65, Amendment No. 1 increased the Contract amount by $52,127.38, Amendment No. 2 increased the Contract amount by $423,353.90, Amendment No. 3 will increase the Contract by a not to exceed amount of $216,247.80 for a new total Contract amount not to exceed $2,225,889.73. |
BACKGROUND:
On October 18, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 604990-18 for Annual Requirements Contract for Trap and Skeet Clay Targets - Package No. 1 to Hansen Enterprises (LBE) in the amount of $1,534,160.65 for the purchase of trap and skeet clay targets for use at the Clark County Shooting Complex.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from date of award through October 31, 2019 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods and included a 90-day extension. There are no renewal options remaining.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 10% based on possible increased user requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 3% for possible price increases for renewal terms.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Amendment No. 1 provided for an increase in the quantities of items listed in Package 1 in order to absorb the quantities that were originally listed in Package 2, which was terminated by the Board on October 2, 2019.
Amendment No. 2 provided for an extension of the Contract term for up to 12 months to allow for a stabilization of the market and a rebid.
Approval of Amendment No. 3 will provide for an extension of the Contract term for up to an additional 6 months to allow for a rebid. The attached Amendment No. 3 document details the modifications and costs involved.
Hansen Enterprises currently holds a Clark County Vendor Registration.
