BACKGROUND:
On June 4, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 606989-24 for Utilization of State of Nevada, 99SWC-NV22-13385, for Inmate Communications, awarded to Global Tel*Link Corporation dba ViaPath Technologies in the revenue amount estimated at $6,824,880 for inmate communications.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract being utilized was from November 1, 2023 through December 31, 2025 and included the option to renew for three (3) additional periods of one (1) year each. There are no renewal options remaining. State of Nevada exercised all renewals for the Master Contract via Amendment No. 1 which extended term to December 31, 2028.
• Clark County is not under exclusive contract with Global Tel*Link Corporation d/b/a ViaPath Technologies and therefore, can cease purchasing product/services at any time.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide for an update to Exhibit C, Rate Offer Sections approved by Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) order. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications involved.
Global Tel*Link Corporation d/b/a ViaPath Technologies currently holds a Clark County Vendor Registration.
