BACKGROUND:

On May 5, 2005, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved an application for a Recreation & Public Purpose Lease (Lease) for ± 20 acres of land, for the future Fremont Park located on APN 176-27-601-011 (Park).

On July 2, 2008, Clark County (County) received the Lease for the Park which expires on July 1, 2033. The Park was intended to be developed as part of the Mountains Edge Major Project Development Agreement but to date remains undeveloped. The County desires to relinquish the Lease in support of future disposal by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).  Parks & Recreation has no objection to this request.

This item was presented to the County Long Range Planning Committee on February 25, 2026.
