BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved and budgeted funding for the Pedestrian Access and Bus Shelter Pad Improvements project in its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2026 to design and construct pedestrian connectivity improvements, accessibility improvements, and bus shelter pad upgrades at various locations throughout the RTC transit system.

RTC Transit and Transit Amenities Departments recently conducted a system-wide audit and identified transit stops with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access gaps and bus shelter needs. This project will address these needs to improve safety and accessibility for transit customers. The time of performance is effective until June 30, 2031, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC has prepared the interlocal contract for the Board's consideration. RTC approved interlocal contract at its meeting on June 11, 2026.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
