BACKGROUND:
On September 19, 2000, the Board of County Commissioners approved a professional engineering services contract with Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade and Douglas, Inc. ("Parsons") to design the Orchard Detention Basin and levees. In 2006 and 2008, the Board approved assignment agreements with Parsons, consenting to the reassignment of all Parsons' rights, obligations, terms, and related details in the merging and/or changing of its company name from Parsons Brinckerhoff Construction Services, Inc. to Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade and Douglas, Inc.; Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade and Douglas, Inc. to PB Americas, Inc.; and PB Americas, Inc. to the current company of WSP USA, Inc.
Supplemental No. 9 to the professional services contract will increase total funds for engineering services required to incorporate construction cost saving revisions and additional design services for construction support for the project north of Charleston Boulevard. The time of performance remains effective until March 31, 2027, unless further time extensions are granted.
WSP USA, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the ninth supplemental contract as to form.
