Additional Comments: |
Amendment No. 1’s fiscal impact is represented in the additional funding increase of, not to exceed, $267,302.14, for a new total Contract amount of $6,824,433.38 |
BACKGROUND:
On August 21, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 604930-18 for Email Security to Remove Phishing Email Based Malware to Mimecast North America (LBE) in the amount of $4,524,701.16.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from August 21, 2018 through as long as the County uses the software. • Included the option to increase the award amount up to 5% for possible price increases for renewal terms. • Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
A revised Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved due to continuity of critical cybersecurity protections within the County's established email security platform.
An approved funding increase allowed for the purchase of M3R-Email Security, Remediation, and Continuity for the ability to sync shared mailbox permissions. The approval also allowed for an increase to the original award amount up to 25% for additional user requirements.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide for additional add-on services to expand M3R Email Security, enhance mailbox management, and provide managed security awareness training for County staff. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.
Approval of the funding increase will cover the forecasted usage of the additional services through 2033.
The Business License Department has determined that a Clark County Business License is not required for this effort.
