BACKGROUND: 

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Intersection Improvements: Red Rock Ranch Road and Red Springs Drive project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Fund for Fiscal Year 2024.

Interlocal Contract No. 3164 provides funds for constructing a fully operational traffic signal system at the intersection of Red Rock Ranch Road and Red Springs Drive, including the demolition, removal, and disposal of existing improvements, and removal and salvage of designated items. All necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained and Clark County is ready to advertise the project for construction. The time of performance is effective until December 31, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on June 13, 2024.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
