BACKGROUND:
Bid No. 605759-20, for Russell Road, Paradise Road to Mountain Vista Street, Eastern Avenue, Sunset Road to Tompkins Avenue was advertised on January 12, 2021 and opened on March 3, 2021. The Bid Amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for proposed improvements that include the following: mill and overlay with UTACS; full-depth replacement of asphalt pavement section; Americans with Disabilities Acts (ADA) improvements to sidewalk ramps; replacement or installation of traffic signal loops; signal upgrades for yellow flashing arrows; traffic signal modifications and new signal poles; new pavement markings; vertical adjustments of utility lids; new median islands and reconstruction of existing median islands at various locations with full-depth improvements (concrete fill for narrow islands; landscape rock for wide islands); Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) conduit and/or fiber optic; replacement of High Pressure Sodium (HPS) street light bulbs with Light-Emitting Diode (LED); replacement of existing traffic signs and new signs as needed; and other necessary appurtenances and improvements required to make a good, complete, and serviceable project.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 335 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
• Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience language as in all public works efforts of this type.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
