BACKGROUND: 

The 2022 NFL Draft will be held in Las Vegas from April 28 through April 30.

On January 21, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners discussed possible lane closures related to the 2022 NFL Draft (Agenda Item #56).  On February 1, 2022, the Board received a presentation (Agenda Item #55) from representatives of the NFL.  Today's agenda item requests approval for lane closures on Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, along with ancillary streets, in conjunction with this three-day event.

The full closures for the event will begin at 10:00 PM on April 27 and end at 9:00 PM on April 30.  The only overnight lanes to be open on April 29 and April 30 will be on Las Vegas Boulevard at Flamingo Road to the Bellagio Hotel entrance, and the southbound left-turn lanes and inside thru-lanes at Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard.

Starting April 13 for event set-up and concluding May 6 for event breakdown, lane closures will be in effect for the following roadways:  the outside eastbound lane from 200 feet west of Bellagio North Porte Cochere to the Bellagio North Porte Cochere; the outside eastbound lane from Bellagio North Porte Cochere through the outside lane of channelized right-turn at Las Vegas Boulevard; the southbound curb lane on Koval Lane from Winnick Avenue to Krueger Drive; and the two outside lanes from Flamingo Road to the Bellagio Hotel entrance.  Between the hours of 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM, a third lane closure will be implemented on Las Vegas Boulevard from the outside southbound lanes from Flamingo Road to the Bellagio Hotel entrance.
