BACKGROUND:
The Fiscal Year 2024-2025 HUD Annual Action Plan describes the funding allocations for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and the Nevada Account for Affordable Housing Trust (AAHTF). Total Federal funding represented in the plan is $13,231,521. The total funding in the plan, including funding from the State of Nevada (State HOME and AAHTF), is $22,210,349. Prior to its submittal to HUD, by July 17, 2024, the Action Plan has been revised to accept public comments that were received at public meetings and hearings, and technical corrections were made for accuracy.
The Board of County Commissioners previously held a public hearing concerning the Action Plan on April 16, 2024, to receive input from the public on the content and strategies outlined for the one-year period. The plan was widely available for public comment from March 20, 2024, through April 19, 2024, per HUD guidelines.
