BACKGROUND:

The Plaintiffs commenced an action against Clark County alleging that Mr. Robert Telles, during his tenure as
Clark County Public Administrator, created a hostile work environment and discriminated against employees
under his supervision. Recently, the parties participated in a mediation conducted by the Honorable Peggy A. Leen (Ret.). The mediation resulted in settlement proposals to resolve the action against Clark County.

Accordingly, the District Attorney's Office seeks approval to settle the action against Clark County for the total amount of Three Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($375,000), inclusive of all attorney's fees and costs, with no admission of wrongdoing, and to mitigate the unknown costs of protracted litigation.

The settlement agreements have been reviewed and recommended for approval by the Civil Division of the District Attorney's Office, Clark County's outside counsel and the Clark County Liability Pool Committee members.
