BACKGROUND:
The claim is a result of a motor vehicle accident on April 24, 2025, whereby Clark County driver, who was towing a trailer, made a right turn from the middle lane, striking the claimant's vehicle. This collision caused the claimant's vehicle to spin out of control, striking the vehicles in the car lot and the adjacent fencing. The total medical treatment was at $76,691.50, not including estimated costs for potential future medical bills.
Through negotiations with legal counsel for the claimant, the claimant has agreed to accept $155,000.00 in settlement of the bodily injury claim to avoid any further costs and legal expenses of possible litigation in this case. If the settlement is approved, the County would also avoid costs and expenses of any future litigation.
The proposed settlement has been reviewed and approved by the Civil Division of the District Attorney’s Office and the Clark County Liability Pool Committee members.
