BACKGROUND:

Turo Inc. (Company) is a peer-to-peer car sharing platform that allows private car owners to rent out their vehicles to travelers, enhancing the range of transportation options available to airport passengers. The proposed Operating Permit (Permit) outlines the terms and conditions under which Company will operate at the ARACC.

The State of Nevada passed Senate Bill 389 during the 81st Session of the Nevada State Legislature in 2021. This legislation established the legal framework for peer-to-peer car sharing programs, requiring such platforms to obtain business licenses and comply with specific operational and reporting standards.

On May 17, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners further approved an ordinance under Clark County Code Chapter 6.105, providing for the licensure and regulation of peer-to-peer car sharing programs within the county.

The term of the Permit is for two (2) years.

The Permit has been reviewed and approved as to form by the District Attorney's Office. Company currently holds a Clark County Business License.
