BACKGROUND:

The FEMA Public Assistance Grant is a pass through State grant which allows reimbursement for 100% of eligible expenses for the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine to improve health and life safety of the residents of Clark County.

Due to the short timeframe between the grant announcement and submission date, the Office of Emergency Management submitted the grant application to FEMA on March 16, 2021, prior to Board approval.  The anticipated award date is April 30, 2021.

Acceptance of this funding will reimburse the eligible expenses in the categories of labor, equipment, materials and supplies, and other costs associated with administering the COVID-19 vaccine.

Staff recommends that the Board ratify the submission of the attached grant application.
