BACKGROUND:

The Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) approved funding for the Airport Channel - Naples project on its Master Plan and Ten-Year Construction Program.  The Board of County Commissioners approved the interlocal contract on October 1, 2013.

The Board and RFCD previously approved five supplementals to the interlocal contract by increasing total funds and extending the contract term for the subject project.

The attached Supplemental No. 6 to the interlocal contract increases design funding to cover the cost of the consultant supplemental contract for design services including updated aerial topography, design of some additional elements, stockpile plans for use of excess materials, continued coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and utilities, funding presentations, a constructability review, and construction support services. The time of performance remains effective to June 30, 2026, unless further time extensions are granted.

RFCD approved the sixth supplemental contract at its meeting on July 13, 2023.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the sixth supplemental contract as to form.
