On January 6, 2026, State of Minnesota awarded Sourcewell Contract No. 101625-PLP, awarded RFP #101625 for playground, water play and aquatic equipment, site amenities, and outdoor fitness equipment with related accessories and services. This approval provides for shade structures.

A Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved because having the ability to participate in this program and procure materials from PlayPower, Inc. directly will greatly benefit the County and Community by being diligent in managing Tax Payer Funds in a deliberate manner that facilitates greater project budget adherence opportunities, guarantee of future maintenance consistency, ensuring product performance is uniform at all locations, and will help mitigate certain procurement/schedule delays.

The following are the pertinent provisions of this approval:
The term of the Contract being utilized is from December 18, 2025 through December 17, 2029 and                      includes the option to renew for 3, one-year periods.
Clark County is not under exclusive contract with PlayPower, Inc. and therefore can cease purchasing                      product / services at any time.

This approval is in accordance with NRS 332.195.1, a governing body or its authorized representative may enter into a contract pursuant to a solicitation by the State of Nevada or another state with the authorization of the contracting vendor.
