BACKGROUND:

Vehicle (VIN #4VZCN8094XC032775) has been fully utilized by the County and have been retired from service for exceeding the established replacement criteria. Nye County Search and Rescue, Inc. has a need for this type of vehicle to assist when LVMPD makes a request for mutual aid in Clark County.  The vehicle would serve as a true mobile command center, housing in one location, their Command Team, Communications Team and Mission Planning Group. These critical, emergency services often involve searches for people, vehicles and evidence.

In accordance with NRS Chapter 244.1505 (2) (a) the County may donate commodities, supplies, materials and equipment that the board determines to have reached the end of their useful lives to various nonprofit organizations or another governmental entity.  The donations may be used for any purpose, which will provide a substantial benefit to the inhabitants of the county.

The District Attorney has approved the resolution and agreement of transfer form.
