Audiovisual system expansion and upgrade at the Wetlands Park Nature Center

BACKGROUND:

The audiovisual ("AV") system at the Wetlands Park Nature Center was originally installed in 2012 during the construction of the facility. The AV system is now outdated and in need of replacement to meet current operational and programming needs.

The Wetlands Park Nature Center was originally funded by the Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act, which requires the receiving agency to ensure proper maintenance of the infrastructure funded.

The proposed AV system expansion and upgrade will encompass the replacement and installation of new audiovisual components throughout the Wetlands Park Nature Center, including in the administrative offices, meeting rooms, and public areas. The new audiovisual components will include house speakers, projectors, flat-screen monitors, an upgraded intercom system, a system that enable wireless meeting capabilities, and improved technology for remote wildlife camera viewing.

The project funding will be provided either through the Wetlands Capital Improvement Fund or via the existing Conserve Nevada Funding Agreement with the State of Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
