BACKGROUND:
On May 5, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners approved the submission of FY2020-2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), approved a project list, and authorized staff to submit the CDBG Pre-Award Approval Request to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and subsequently approved the FY 2020-2024 CDBG CIP.
The CIP included an allocation of $1,489,037 to Nevada Health Centers for the expansion of the MLK Health Center located at 1799 Mount Mariah Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89106. Due to increased costs, additional funding of $314,360 has been requested and will be reallocated to the project from administrative cost savings.
This capital improvement project will involve an addition that will create space for a dedicated pharmacy and behavioral health treatment offices.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved this item as to form.
