BACKGROUND: 

Bid No. 606195-22, for Bunkerville Park (Thomas Dudley Leavitt Sr. Park) Round 17 SNPLMA Improvements was advertised on April 27, 2022 and opened on June 6, 2022.  The Bid Amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for the construction of park improvements to include an approximate one-third mile, ten foot wide asphalt walking trail around the inner perimeter of the park, nature play area, medium sized covered picnic pavilion with picnic tables, barbeques and trash enclosures, sign kiosk, off-site trail signage and enhanced desert landscaping and shade trees throughout.

Additive Alternate No. 1 is for a 24' x 44' picnic shelter in lieu of 24' x 24' picnic shelter with two additional tables and barbecue.

Additive Alternate No. 2 is for the demolition of existing ballfield chain link fence backstop, concrete footings, backstop planks and dugout chain link fence. Construct new 16-ft. chain link fences, backstop planks, posts, mow curb and concrete footings.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 180 calendar days from the date specified in the                      Notice to Proceed.
                     Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience                      language as in all public works efforts of this type.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
