BACKGROUND: 

On July 17, 2012, the Board of County Commissioners approved an amendment to Title 2 of the Clark County Code to establish a percent for the Arts Program. On December 4, 2012, the Board approved and adopted the County Arts Plan.

Title 2.90.040 requires the Parks and Recreation Department to submit an annual report on the County Arts Plan with recommendations for proposed public art acquisitions or commissions and an update on artistic programs and projects to the Board for consideration.  This 2023 Budget, if approved, will supersede previously approved County Arts Plans.

As directed by the Board, the County Arts Plan includes a portion of funding for the Nevada Museum of Art’s 5-year maintenance of the Seven Magic Mountains Art Installation.
