BACKGROUND: 

Effective October 1, 2017, the Nevada Legislature enacted Senate Bill 305, amending NRS 247.305(2) allowing the County Recorder's Office to collect $5 per document recorded as authorized, and the proceeds are accounted for separately in the County's general fund pursuant to NRS 247.306.

Funds accumulated in the account are designed for the purpose of acquiring or improving technology and addressing tech-related expenses in the Office of the County Recorder.  County Recorder Conway requests that the Board of County Commissioners receive the annual report that summarizes estimated expenditures from the Technology Fund for the purpose of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations in regard to serving the public.
