BACKGROUND: 

Bid No. 605753-20, for Von Tobel Middle School Park: Renovations was advertised on December 7, 2020 and opened on June 15, 2021.  The Bid Amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for the construction of a 5 acre park renovation including the removal and replacement of existing baseball fields and amenities, tennis courts, landscape irrigation system, basketball courts, upgrades and additions to the lighting system and installation of a 4,200 square foot modular building.

Additive Alternate No. 1 is for the installation of electrical trail lighting and concrete form work, casting in place concrete, anti-graffiti, common work results for electrical, low voltage power constructors and cables, grounding and bounding for electrical systems, identification for electrical system, switchboards, planeloads, wiring devices and exterior lighting.

Additive Alternate No. 2 is for the installation of a fitness court, concrete form work, cast in place concrete, site furnishings, tensioned fabric structure, playground protective surfacing, landscape irrigation, planting preparation, landscape grading, turf and grasses, and landscape planting.

Additive Alternate No. 3 is for demolition and removal of existing playground features and resilient surfacing and shade cover fabric; furnish and installation of new playground equipment to match; and renovate and paint existing play area metal shelter.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 420 calendar days from the date specified in the                      Notice to Proceed.
                     Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience                      language as in all public works efforts of this type.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

Monument Construction currently holds a Clark County Business License.
