BACKGROUND:

On July 20, 2004, the Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing the Fire Chief to accept donations to the department, including personal property valued at up to $2,500 and monetary donations up to $1,000.  Individual donations valued at more than $2,500 in personal property or $1,000 in cash will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for acceptance at a regularly scheduled meeting.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Southern Nevada District is pleased to transfer a Type 6 Fire Engine to Clark County Cold Creek Volunteer Fire Department through the Rural Fire Readiness Program. The Cold Creek Department assists BLM with response regularly in high occurrence fire areas on the district. The new apparatus will enhance the department's ability to provide additional response to both BLM and Forest Services Fires.

The Clark County Fire Department appreciates the generosity and recommends acceptance of the donation.
