Additional Comments:

The initial Contract amount was not to exceed $2,500,000 annually.  Amendment No. 1 had no fiscal impact. Amendment No. 2 will have no fiscal impact, for a total Contract amount of not to exceed $29,500,000 should all renewal option be exercised and increased user requirements included.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On November 26, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 605315-19 to Central Telephone Company Nevada Division dba CenturyLink (NBE) in the amount not to exceed $29,500,000 to provide Services for Telecommunications: Voice Services and Data Transport.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     The term of the Contract was from date of award through March 30, 2024, and included the option to                      renew for 5, one-year periods. There are 5 renewal options remaining.
                     Included the option to increase the award amount up to 20% based on possible increased user                      requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
                     
Amendment No. 1 removed language from the Subcontract section and Attachment 8.

Approval of Amendment No. 2 will provide for Avaya IP Office services and products for Clark County Detention Center.  The attached Amendment No. 2 document details the  modifications and costs involved.

Central Telephone Company Nevada Division dba CenturyLink currently holds a Clark County Business License.
