Additional Comments:

The initial Contract amount was $6,412,500, Amendment No. 1 increased the Contract amount by $1,500,000. Amendment No. 2 will increase the Contract amount by $110,000, for a new total Contract amount of $8,022,500.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On November 1, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 606381-22 for Technical & Economic Assistance Program Administration to National Council for Community Development, Inc., dba National Development Council (NDC) (LBE) in the amount of $1,412,500 for direct services and $5,000,000 for grant pass through monies for the distribution of grants to small businesses who qualify for the program.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:

                     The term of the Contract was from date of award through December 31, 2024.
                     Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract                      with advanced written notice.

Amendment No. 1 provided for additional grant funding to be distributed to small businesses. 

Approval of Amendment No. 2 will provide for additional funding in support of the District D Program to distribute to small businesses that qualify.  The attached Amendment No. 2 document details the modifications and costs involved.

The Business License Department has determined that a Clark County Business License is not required for this effort.
