BACKGROUND:
On November 19, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of RFQ No. 605385-19 for Mentoring and Case Management Services in the amount of $450,000 annually from providers qualified by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contracts:
• The term of the Contracts were from date of award through December 31, 2020 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods. There are no renewal options remaining.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contracts with advanced written notice.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will extend the contracts with Apple Grove Foster Care Agency, Shining Star Community Services, LLC and Youth Advocate Programs, Inc., through June 30, 2025 on a month to month basis to allow for a new solicitation. The new contract total will bring forward the total amount of spend since the contract was executed and include the additional funding for the extension through June 30, 2025. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications.
