BACKGROUND:

The Pebble Road between Las Vegas Boulevard and Eastern Avenue project is a cooperative effort between Clark County and the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), of which NDOT intends to delegate authority to the County to design, advertise, and manage construction of the project.  Improvements will consist of removal and replacement of asphaltic pavement, UTACS (Ultra Thin Asphalt Concrete Surfacing), separated bike lanes, adjustment of utility manholes and valves, removal and replacement of various concrete work to meet current ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards including sidewalk ramps and driveways, pavement markings, conduit, and other related items of work within the unincorporated area of Clark County, Nevada.

The total project cost is $12,631,579.  The agreement with NDOT is $12,000,000, which has been approved for 95% Federal Congressional Designated funding.  The County is required to pay $631,579, which includes the 5% match of the federal contribution for the completion of this project.  The attached Cooperative (Local Public Agency) Highway Agreement No. PR143-26-063 formalizes this requirement and identifies the responsibilities of both the County and NDOT.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the cooperative agreement as to form.
