BACKGROUND:

On May 5, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners approved the submission of FY2020-2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), approved a project list, and authorized staff to submit the CDBG Pre-Award Approval Request to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and subsequently approved the FY 2020-2024 CIP.

The CIP included an allocation of $476,193 to the Clark County Parks and Recreation Department for the design and renovation of the Parkdale Park and the pool building, located at Parkdale Park, 3200 Ferndale Street in Las Vegas, Nevada. Due to increased costs, additional funding of $158,228 has been requested and will be reallocated from administrative cost savings to the project.

This capital improvement project will involve removing and replacing the existing basketball court, as well as renovation to the pool building.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved this item as to form.
