BACKGROUND:
The proposed ordinance takes the duties and functions of County Code sections 2.48.015, 2.48.025, 2.48.055, 2.48.060, 2.48.065, 2.48.070, 2.48.080, 2.48.085, and 2.48.095 and consolidates them into Code section 2.48.030. In addition, the proposed ordinance updates, corrects, and clarifies Social Service's overall duties and functions.
Staff recommends that the ordinance to amend Clark County Code Title 2, Chapter 48, be introduced, and a public hearing be set for March 19, 2024.
