BACKGROUND:
On February 12, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners authorized the Director of the Department of Aviation to submit a request to the Federal Aviation Administration to rename the McCarran International Airport. All costs in connection with the name change are required to be funded by private donations. On April 6, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing the acceptance of monetary donations to the LAS Name Change account to be reported to the Board quarterly.
No donations were received from April 1, 2024 through June 30, 2024.
