BACKGROUND:

On March 8, 2024, Clark County Commissioners Jim Gibson and Tick Segerblom hosted a large-scale, in-person job fair at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The job fair featured employers from major hotel properties and businesses, representing industries such as hospitality, logistics, manufacturing, local government, and customer service. The job fair was free and open to all Nevadans.

To support the job fair, Cox Communications donated Wi-Fi services in the amount of $10,000.  Wi-Fi services provided at the job fair allowed employers to showcase their company or organization, training opportunities, and benefits. In addition, Wi-Fi services allowed job seekers to connect with companies and organizations and complete job applications in real time.

The Clark County Board of County Commissioners is asked to accept the $10,000 Wi-Fi donation from Cox Communications.
