BACKGROUND: 

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Gilespie Street between Barbara Lane and Silverado Ranch project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2026.

Interlocal Contract No. 3249 provides funds for design of the subject project. The improvements along Gilespie Street between Barbara Lane and Silverado Ranch Boulevard include pavement milling, installation of ultra thin asphalt concrete surfacing (UTACS), roadway widening where necessary, pavement markings, and all associated improvements. The term of the contract is effective until June 30, 2031, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC has prepared Interlocal Contract No. 3249 for the Board's consideration. RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on February 12, 2026.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
