BACKGROUND:

NDOT has completed design of the Interstate 515 (I-515) Bridge over Desert Inn Road project and has advertised the project for construction.  The project will include the replacement of the I-515 Bridge over Desert Inn Road.  To allow for the safe replacement of the bridge, NDOT has requested detours during times when Desert Inn Road must be closed to through-traffic, as well as when the number of through-traffic lanes on Desert Inn are reduced.

The attached Interlocal Agreement No. NM097-21-015 defines the requirements that NDOT must comply with to implement these detours around and through the bridge site during construction.  NDOT will fund 100% of the subject project with Federal Competitive Highway Bridge Program funds and matching State funds.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal agreement as to form.
