Initial contract amount was $500,000 and Supplemental No. 1 increase of $1,000,000 increases the total contract value to $1,500,000. RTC will continue to provide funding for all costs associated with this project. Clark County is not obligated to pay any of the project costs. |
BACKGROUND:
On August 12, 2021, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) and Clark County, City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, City of Henderson, City of Boulder City, and City of Mesquite (collectively "Entities") entered into Interlocal Contract No. 1301 for the Backup Power and Cooling System for Communication Hubs project (Clark County Public Works Project No. PW.R257AFT), to develop plans for backup power and cooling requirements at the Freeway and Arterial System of Transportation (FAST) communication hubs within the Entities' jurisdictions. The Board of County Commissioners approved this contract on October 5, 2021.
The attached Supplemental No. 1 to Interlocal Contract No. 1301 will provide additional funds to develop standard specifications for cabinet and mini-hut prefabricated structure and replace various existing cabinet and mini-hut structures. The time of performance remains effective to December 31, 2026, unless time extensions are granted.
RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on April 13, 2023.
Each of the Entities is scheduled to approve the first supplemental contract at their respective Board/Council meetings.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the first supplemental contract as to form.
