BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved and budgeted funding for the ITS Signal Systems Manager - Integrator project in RTC's Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2025.

The Freeway and Arterial System of Transportation (FAST) Department will be procuring new traffic signal controllers and controller firmware for the more than 1,600 traffic signals within the region. This project will procure the services of a system integrator to assist with the management of the integration, scheduling, and deployment of the new controllers and firmware with the local agencies to streamline the switchover to the new controllers in the field. The time of performance is effective until December 31, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on July 11, 2024.

Each of the Entities is scheduled to approve the interlocal contract at their respective Board/Council meetings.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
