BACKGROUND:
On May 21, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 606957-24 for Annual Requirements Contract for Custodial Service on Las Vegas Boulevard Pedestrian Bride, Elevator, Escalator, Bollards, and Sidewalks to Smart Cleaning Solutions, LLC (WBE) in the amount of $13,539,660.95 for custodial services on pedestrian bridges. In addition, custodial services on County maintained sidewalks, wheelchair ramps, curb line/gutter/drop inlet grates, bollards, and newsstands along Las Vegas Boulevard.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from date of award to June 30, 2025, and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods and included a 3-month extension. There are two (2), one-year renewal options remaining.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 15% based on possible increased user requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 3% for possible price increases for renewal terms.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
The current contract provides for custodial services seven days a week during the day and on evenings Friday, Saturday and legal holidays. Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide for custodial work in the evening Sunday through Thursday, providing for seven days a week coverage both day and evening shifts. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.
Smart Cleaning Solutions, LLC currently holds a Clark County Business License.
