BACKGROUND:

Community Care Health Plan of Nevada, Inc. dba Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Healthcare Solutions (Anthem) and Clark County have cultivated a partnership for multiple innovative solutions to address challenges around homelessness in Southern Nevada. This item is being submitted as a ratification so funds may be utilized for project expenses incurred between January 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023.

The Landlord Engagement Project (LEP) follows nationwide best practices to source landlords to increase the community's scattered site housing inventory available to homeless service programs. LEP will fund the continuation of a community wide subscription to Padmission which is a landlord communication software to facilitate engagement. LEP funds may also be used to support professional landlord recruitment efforts and a landlord incentive fund.

This project addresses Goal 4 in Clark County's Strategic Response to Support Southern Nevada's Plan to End Homelessness by addressing system gaps using non-federal funding and driving unique and innovative solutions.

The item has been approved as to form by the District Attorney.
