BACKGROUND: 

On October 6, 2025, Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo announced that he intends to call the state legislature for a special session.  On October 8, 2025, pursuant to NRS 218A.260 and NRS 218A.262, Minority Leader of the Nevada Assembly, Gregory Hafen, II submitted Jason Patchett as a qualified nominee to the Board of County Commissioners to the fill the vacancy in Nevada Assembly District 19 for the remaining period of the unexpired term of office.
