BACKGROUND:
At the Board of County Commissioner’s meeting on June 20, 2023, the County Finance Department presented a recommendation for the creation of 323 positions totaling $29.8 million. The recommendation included $950,000 to support policy and procedure efficiencies. Although funds were allocated, the positions supporting this initiative had not been identified.
As development, special events, and County initiatives have expanded throughout the County, the County Manager's Office has identified 7 positions that will support the County Commission Office and 2 Information Technology positions that will be dedicated to supporting Accela to improve operations in Comprehensive Planning and Public Works.
