BACKGROUND: 

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Sloan Road between Decatur Boulevard and Las Vegas Boulevard project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2026.

Interlocal Contract No. 3269 provides funds for construction of the subject project. The work to be performed on Sloan Road between Decatur Boulevard and Las Vegas Boulevard includes removal and replacement of 0.8 miles of rural standard road, signage and striping, an extension of a storm drain culvert, and other appurtenances as necessary to construct a complete and functional roadway. The design for the project was funded by Clark County. The design is at least 90 percent complete, and all necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained. The term of the contract is effective until June 30, 2031, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC has prepared Interlocal Contract No. 3269 for the Board's consideration. RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on May 21, 2026.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
