BACKGROUND:
In coordination with the re-authorization of the Clark County Redevelopment Agency, each commission district not containing redevelopment areas was allocated $2.5 million in funds from the FY22 capital budget to focus on economic development opportunities within each district.District F will be using a portion of its funds allocated to hire consultants to prepare economic development plans for targeted areas within District F. Up to $50,000 will be dedicated to expanding startup opportunities in District F. Up to $15,000 will be dedicated to expanding small business networking in Henderson (new redistricting area)Up to $300,000 will be dedicated to Spring Mountain beautification & addressing heat island effect in the area. Up to $80,000 will be dedicated to expanding public art on the Spring Mountain corridor. Up to $100,000 will be dedicated to Sandy Valley small business development and expansion.
