BACKGROUND:
On August 18, 2025, RFP 2025-05 for Food Services and Clinical Nutrition Management Services was published in the Las Vegas Review-Journal and posted on the Nevada Government eMarketplace (NGEM) Portal. On September 19, 2025, responses were received from:
Aramark Educational Services, LLC
HHS, LLC
Morrison Healthcare
RENEW U LLC
Sodexo America, LLC
An ad hoc committee independently and anonymously evaluated the proposals and recommended the selection of Sodexo America, LLC (“Sodexo”) and approval of this Agreement.
Under this Agreement, with a total not-to-exceed of $30,310,579, Sodexo will provide Food Services and Clinical Nutrition Management Services to UMC. These services include management and operation of UMC’s food and nutrition services, patient meal services, clinical nutrition support, catering, floor stock, nourishments, doctors’ lounge services, and related pass-through services necessary to support hospital operations and patient care.
The term of this Agreement is five (5) years from the Effective Date, with two (2) optional one-year extensions. Staff also requests authorization for the Hospital CEO to exercise the extension option(s) at his discretion if deemed beneficial to UMC, and to execute amendments consistent with the terms of the Agreement.
UMC’s Executive Director of Continuum of Care has reviewed and recommends the award to Sodexo and approval of this Agreement. This Agreement has been approved as to form by UMC’s Office of General Counsel.
Sodexo America, LLC, holds a Clark County business license.
This Agreement was reviewed by the Governing Board at their August 26, 2026, meeting and recommended for approval by the Board of Hospital Trustees.
